Cracking - Same as the missus! Needs the splitter though, will look even better once it's on! BTW - Which exhaust system have you got, finishes the back of the car off nicely!
Just a quicky - I removed the Engine Hoist Brackets from the 182 today, and they weigh approx. 495g (with bolts). So nothing to get too excited about, but it all adds up, and for the 2 minutes it took me, worthwhile.
P.S. 495grams is probs about £1 million quids worth of development on an F1...
Lol! Maybe I'm just too used to doing jobs myself and only having to pay for parts! When you put it like that, I suppose it's not too bad, but generally, I still think Renault are expensive - certainly in comparison to Subaru, Peugeot, Honda and what was Rover!
Anyway, I'll shut-up now so we...
No wonder we havn't heard much about Renault going down the sh1tter under this 'credit-crunch', it would seem their Service & Parts departments are keeping them ticking over nicely with those prices! And I thought Subaru were expensive! Not a shadow on Renault!
I'm sure you must be able to get...
Have had a good look around, and can't seem to find a Fibreglass bonnet for the 182, but have heard back from K-Tec regarding their Carbon Bonnet. As I'm sure you all know, the Carbon bonnet they sell can be painted, fits onto the same connections/catches etc., and in the pics, even houses the...
Love the look of Carbon Weave, but just don't think it would look right with the rest of the car being RB, would leave the underside unpainted though! Want the car to stay looking standard basically.:boring:
Think this is going to require a little more research! I'll come back to this thread if I come across anything promising! Get a feeling it could take a while though!
I guess you're probly right Alex X93, it doesn't really look too promising as far as an Alloy Bonnet is concerned! I've just emailed K-Tec with a few questions about theirs etc. Fitment, Opening, Sprayability, Weight etc. See if/what they come back with, probs in the week.
Thanks alot for the...
Thought about bespoke fabrication, but yep, the £££'s issue is there with that one! As for the Fibreglass idea from Jamesstone - how did I not think of that one!?
Jamesstone - have you done this yourself then???
Thanks guys, I'd heard they were OEM on a few of the early 172's, but just wondered if anyone had ever heard of an aftermarket (but standard looking) one for the 182? As for the weight, obviously I want it to help shed a few pounds, but I know the steel one isn't exactly heavy either! But yeah...
OK, old thread, but just came across it!
Subaru Dealership Parts Dept. when taking my Legacy 3.0R Spec.B for a service - Mechanic said it was an Import, I disagreed and informed him I bought it from a Subaru Dealer, he still wouldn't have it - to the point of raised voices. He only conceded...
Hey! I just checked out the Renaultsport page, and it seems mine is only one of 3 that had the Recaro fit! How chuffed am I!!? Lol!:D Also got both the Cup packs, and I love it!
Sorry, got a bit over-excited at the end there...:o
Have to agree with Keano, harnesses can be overkill on the road, but then what price do you put on safety - not that 3-points aren't safe of course! As for the Recaro's in the Trophy, or on the options list for the 182 (as mine were), I find them a hell of alot more comfortable than the standard...
Hey! Sorry about the seriously delayed reply to this thread, but I've not long signed-up on the Forum after getting my 182 in October (2nd Clio after my '03 1.2 Dynamic 3yrs ago!).
Anyway, I've got the Recaro's in mine, and was wondering where you aquired the Blue RenaultSport Sabelt Racing...
