Quick one. My mate who has a cup had the rear shockers replaced and the dealer told him theyre the same part as the 172 proper. I know the cup is a little lower but does anyone know if the damping rate, i.e. the shockers are different. Cheers Chris

this usually seems to happen at low speeds when doing a u-turn or similar, anyone got any ideas as to whether this is a problem that needs attention or if its something harmless?? chris

with reference to your comments in a previous post, i also get this knocking under wheelspin, sounds awful, but i was told in an answer to a previous post that it was some kind of torque limiting device to restrict strain on engine mounts/transmission under acceleration and is a trait rather...

...and yes its a trivial, but slightly annoying thing with my 172, and wondered if theres a simple cure.. The steering creaks around the steering wheel/boss area. it may just sort itself out but does anyone know a cure. i cant take it to the dealer, itd be embarrassing. pugboy

my mate at work has got one of these, quite a nice motor and feels pretty punchy. hes gobbin off (friendly banter) about what a bag of shte the cup is compared to his. i know on paper mines quicker but has anyone toasted one just for reference before i try to out drag him? pugboy
