Could be the exhaust hittint the bumper - signes to look for are clean spots on the bumper where the zhorts has hit is and taken off the dirt. Also could try holding the pipe and shaking it to see if there is too much play in it could be the rubber bush.

Any body know if the seat frame for the clio 172 02 reg is the same as the other clios of the same model from base 1.1 all the way up to the cup - mines broke and renault dealer have some how managed to get the wrong part twice.!!!

Costing me £272 to fix it. not happy car is just out of warranty. never known a car with this problem before - me and renault service will be having words.

Renault now want to charge me £60 plus vat to diagnose the problem. wtf!!!! I gave them the broken bit and told them what was wrong - how much more diagnosing does it need.
