There are a few Cornwall members, although I'm not sure they are that active on the forum itself.
Will be organising some runs in the new year on a regular basis so watch this space :)
Yeah, the colour was what sold it to me from the advert really, and the photos don't do it justice in the sunshine (when we had some) it looked stunning :)
I like the standard wheels, and help make the V6 stand out to the not in the know people regarding the 3.2 / 1.8T models, the BBS wheels I...
I've recently bought a 3.2 TT (with the DSG box) and love it! Smooth, fast, comfortable, pretty decent on fuel if not driven silly and sounds lovely!
Lowered it on some AP Coilovers and got a set of 9x18 Rota Force alloys fitted with some 12mm rear spacers and 3mm fronts to clear the shocks (on...
Your not alone... I'm much the same, only most of my stuff I don't even keep for a year lol, hence why I'm now in a Lupo GTi and not a Clio.
A break away may be a good thing, sell up, buy something really dull and boring then in a year you can get something awesome, and have loads of saved up...
Is the car still available for more photos? I've attempted a few photo adjustments, however as they are shot as a normal .JPEG it limits what can really be done to the photo.
If possible, can you shoot a few more in .RAW and then they can be edited to a lot higher standard than any .JPEG can.
Went along to Spring Action Day, however the amount of constant red flags, accidents and poor conditions meant the Clio stayed parked up all day.
Got some positive comments, lots of photos taken of the car throughout the day whenever I was around the area and it seemed to get nice attention...
Audi TT 3.2
Nice engines, that although aren't the quickest for the size they sound great, loads of torque, decent on fuel considering the engine size, all come well spec'd and hold value well as they've bottomed out now really.
I'd chose a TT over the Golf unless you often use the rear seats.
Could be a faulty immobiliser ring or a connection issue? Have you pulled the steering cowling off to have a look to see if anything obvious stands out? If not, just see if anything jumps out as wrong/bodged by previous owner etc.
The applicator your using should be moist (not dripping wet with water just soft and easy to move with your hand), that looks perhaps a touch too much wax but not anything to really worry about. You can tell by the appearance, there are a few areas that have raised bits where the wax/polish has...
Any wax, liquid or hard wax needs to be applied as thinly as possible, overlapping areas when applied. As long as your not plastering it on then you'll be fine.
But as long as your happy with the outcome, even if you used the whole bottle, that's all that matters :tongueout:
So that I can find out who is active in the South West, who would be interested in events and so I can put a name to the car at said events, can everyone post up a picture of your car, your local area and your instagram name please.
Thanks boys & girls
Ordered myself some Pure Motorsport 10mm spacers for the front to replace the 16mm spacers (these will be for sale if anyone is interested? 16mm hubcentric with longer bolts).
Also ordered up black bolts for all 4 wheels as currently I've got mis-matched wheel bolts all round which means the...
Welcome to the group.
Can still be a misfire, perhaps just the start of something starting to break down. Has the stutter been there since you bought it, or is it a recent thing?
Things to check:
Spark plugs, plug leads, coilpack, throttle body is clean, air filter is clean.
Does it...
Thanks bud [emoji4] I had a 133 ph1 a couple of years ago and they are great cars, just lacked the torque of the 1*2’s, otherwise I’d of kept mine. But with prices falling they’re becoming bargains now.
Popped out this morning for the South West CSOC breakfast meet, few people had to shoot off after food but a few of us went for a drive across the Moors and I grabbed a few photos when we stopped...
I've not really given the car a hard drive since changing the wheels/tyres and fitting...
If your lowered/spaced your definitely going to run into rubbing issues.
What tyres are you after, and whats the price you've found? I'm sure CS can find you a comparable deal on the right size if the only reason for going to the larger sidewall was price.
I switched to some road tyres, Avon ZV7's but before that they were Nankang NS2R track spec tyres, which are similar in design and sidewall size etc. The photos of the car in the car park on my build thread have the NS2R's fitted on the 2118's. Sorry, not much help really lol.
I'm guessing you've already checked the fuses? Check the wiring loom that runs through to the tailgate for any broken wires/wires earthing out that shouldn't.
When you press on the brake pedal, do you get any lights on the dash illuminate that shouldn't? If so, this would suggest a bad earth.
Weather should be okay for Sunday, however if it changes to wet then we will just be having the breakfast and will be doing the drive and photos at a later date as the moors aren't much fun for driving let alone photos when its wet and miserable.
If anyone wants to come and say hi, I will be on the Road & Race stand (my local car group I run so look for the banner), although we are all Renaultsports on stand.:up:
I shall be doing photography at the show as well, so will make sure I get all the Clio's I possibly can! :grimacing:
