Maybe, but together with my usual milage it would be putting on up to 500miles a week. the car has got slightly high miles on it now, if i run it for another 12 months its going to be worth hardly anything with another 25k on it.

I've been asked at work to cover our office in Edinburgh which could involve a 100 mile round trip commute up to 3 times a week so I'm looking to cross over to the dark side and get a diesel, lookin for a golf gt tdi or similar.

Just had my 182 rims done, albeit a little far away from you, for £160 same day service, tyre off and on rebalanced etc. And they matched the cup anthracite for me too. Think that was a special offer price tho, normally a set of 18's is about 220.

Finish kare fk1000p for me, Tis cheap, you get loads, works wicked on alloys as well as bodywork, last ages and is a piece of cake to use. It's a synthetic sealant rather than a wax but it really is good stuff.

Yeah tried them, they can do it as they paint rather than powdercoat, however I've heard mixed reports of workmanship from other car forums. Some branches get glowing reports but the one in east Kilbride not so good. That's why I was asking to see if anyone had anyfirst hand experiences.

After having a nightmare with a poorly fitted clifford alarm, I am currently in need of a Cat 1 alarm for my 182. Anyone have any good reccomendations for an alarm / alarm fitter in the glasgow area? I dont want to get stung again by a poorly fitted system. Cheers Steve

Could be a track rod end or a ball joint to start with. Jack the front up, put your hands at 3 o clock and 9 o clock on the wheel and wiggle it, if theres play it will be a track rod end. Put your hands at 12 o clock and 6 o clock and do the same to check the ball joint.
