I'd love to know where my old Arctic Blue 182 is. Registration is YN04 WXJ. Sold it to a guy in the Kent area (where I am from). I got a call a week later from the police saying it had been abandoned and it looked like it had been crashed, they called me as the registration hadn't changed over...
Thanks GrahamS - That's good to know it's still around. I got a call from the Police a few days after I sold it saying it had been abandoned somewhere, I think the guy had smashed it somehow. I never found out what happened to it after that, so it's good to know it's still around :)
I have a feeling this might be my old car. Was the registration YN04 WXJ?
I had a call from the police today, after they'd been to my Mum's address to try and track me down (it was registered to her house). I only sold it a couple of weeks ago and the new registration documents obviously...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
I saw a new standard Clio in black the other day and it actually didn't look too bad. Those RS shots above are awful, it looks terrible!
Plus it was serviced by Renault about a week before. There's not really much more I could do about it, it's just one of those things (like what happened to me when I got it).
Hopefully he can get it sorted soon enough.
Thanks guys.
The guy picked it up on Saturday and text me in the evening to say he had to have it towed as the fan belt came off!!! Talk about bad luck! Not really much I could do about it though, the belts were only done 2.5 years ago and had plenty of mileage left in them.
No real reason for going to Canada, my girlfriend and I just fancied trying something different, so we've got a 1 year working visa to begin with and we'll see where it take sus.
I still have the coilovers at my Mum's place, along with a few other bits and bobs. I'm not going to be back over...
Well, the car has been sold to a nice chap called Mark, who lives fairly local to me, hopefully he signs up here at some point.
My girlfriend and I leave for Canada next month and as much as it pains me to see it go, there was just no point it sitting here for potentially up to 2 years without...
I did, I removed them today to put standard shocks and springs (well, Cooksport springs) on ready to sell it as I'm moving to Canada in March. I'll be gutted to see it go but there's no point of me keeping it.
It's all sorted now, thanks for everyone's help.
The coilovers are screwed, they're...
What have I done wrong here at the rear? Is there supposed to be a bush (or whatever you call it) on the other side as well to stop this? If so is there any way off with it with undoing everything I just did? The rear ARB made it a real pain!
Yeah that was me :)
I have a new problem now though. I've got the new shock/spring in place and held in place by the top mounts, but it's no way near lining up with the hub bolt spaces, I have no idea how I'm going to line them up, let alone doing it long enough to get the bolts through.
Any ideas?
I'll give that a go, although I'm not entirely sure if jacking that bit up with stop it spinning enough.
Yes, as above, I had the wrong shocks and undoing that part seemed like the easier way to fit them. It wasn't until I got the shocks in the right space that i realised they were too big...
Well, here's the thing. I don't actually need to replace the arm.
The reason I started undoing the bolt was because I was trying to fit new shocks but I couldn't get them in as the bottom was getting caught. So I was going to undo the steering arm, fit the shock, then do the steering up back up...
Hi all,
What is the name of the part with the red arrows pointing to it?
Also, I started to undo the nut that is circled, but when it got near the top the age and condition of the thread/bolt has caused it to get stuck, meaning that no matter whether I try to tighten it back up or get it off...
