Hello, need some help with a starting problem on my 172. The car never starts first time anymore, always taking two or three turns of the key before the engine finally turns over and then it runs badly for the first few minutes. A friend said it could be the starter motor but that sounds ok...

I've been following the haynes manual and removed all the parts listed but the head still won't come off. Does anyone have any tips on how to get this thing off??? Mick

need some quick advice. I currently drive a 1992 valver and am thinking of changing to an R5 GTT, what i really need to know is the pros and cons of the change. Will there be much of a performance difference etc.... Any advice welcome Cheers :)

it doesnt sound like the noise is coming from any particular corner, i cant really tell because the noise is so loud now lol, one thing i did forget to mention is that their is a small vibration coming through the floor of the car aswell. What happens if a wheel bearing breaks in motion??

Need a little bit of advice for this one. My valver has started to make a very loud humming noise when i reach 40mph and gets unbearable at 70+ The noise seems to go away when i go around corners :confused:. Could anyone list any obvious faults that could cause this to happen?? I was...

had no choice but to look after it....cam belt done, new balljoints, new wheel bearings, new brakes all round, changed the brake fluid a couple of months ago, changed the coolant, regular oil changes, new cv boots, new steering rack boots......oooooh a single wiper conversion aswell *lol*...

its done 86000 miles, i probably should have put that in my first post lol

chris mate, the valver has been a real pain lately, everything that could go wrong has :( all fixed up now though, just waiting for the next problem now lol

insurance is my biggest problem, 22 and 2 years no claims hmmmm, whats pass plus??

so its worth the money?? I cant wait to get back to work, then hopefully i can upgrade to a cup :D if its not being too nosey could i ask how much you pay in insurance for that car??

hey hey ive just had my car lowered the other day and now a new problem.....i took my car to get the tracking checked and the guys said they couldnt do it because my car was too low, has this happened to anyone else?? Any advice or information?? :confused: Thanks
