182 + £4k change + GDI/AWT = a lot quicker than the CTR
^^ if anyone is that bothered enough ;)
not exactly a like for like comparison though?
You could get a 2nd hand CTR for 12k and supercharge it for 4k = 300+ at the wheels

This is a silly arguement. Power to weight ratio in both cars is the same. Both cars are good.
The END.
Same driver, same track, same day?
Who cares which car won. Theyre both good cars for different reasons.
Strange how the CTR was 2 or 3 tenths slower round Angelsey that the FRS last time round...
Just found a few pics of me going in a bit deep at Breidsheid (I think)

Was there too with my Civic and got a few pics of you guys lapping on Sunday morning after the weather cleared. Will post them in the other thread when I can be bothered to resize them.
Have to say that both Nick Read and CupCake looked like they were trying hard whenever they went past me...
well tbh that CTR is 1.5-2k below what its actually worth (for reasons Im sure you aware of - if its the same car I think it is)
My (now ex) other half got her 172 back in 2002 so I have had 2.5 yrs of driving that round and racked up a fair amount of miles in both. Both have their pluses and...
CTRs are only really fully run in at 21k miles so I wouldnt worry too much about that mileage. You can also get a warranty extension at any dealer (prices vary so shop around).
Running costs on the CTR are a little higher (ins group 17) and a full tank of fuel (45 litres) lasts me between 160...
And to those who complain about the engine reliabilty - Ill bet money that the poster whos sister had head gasket problems was due to a stone in the radiator (the front spoiler needs mesh from the factory IMHO).
The other thing is that CTR uses a ton of oil from new until 1st service. The...

For the reason, she wanted the Honda, well i persueded her!!And I like having the two best Hot hatches in the UK today. And another thing, this is the point They are not the same thing, they are two seperate animals, so so so...
Well having a CTR makes me slightly biased but I will chuck in my two penneth....
The 172/182 is pretty easy to drive quick, the Civic is much more tail happy (which I personally find a good thing) and is much more track orientated. It requires total commitment and real work from the gearbox...

Ive had a CTR, black on an 02 plate, had it for 10 months and got rid cause i was bored. Pros: Sound Nice with a Filter when ITEC kicks in, Nice bucket seats (if you get the lim edition) with recaros. Cons: Too light on the front end, sh*te...
there is a difference between passing to the nearside and undertaking in the eyes of the police
undertaking is where you pass on the left and then move back out into lane 2 or 3 and is definately illegal
passing to the nearside is where someone is sitting in lane 2 and you are in lane 1...
theres no traceable IP address there, only the Blueyonder mail relay addresses....but Blueyonder would be able to provide the police with details of the email address listed provided they get a court order.
