My car always looks good after a hand polish/wax
Heck I've even taken to using this stuff www.go-waterless.co.uk takes about 20 mins to do the whole car and leaves it utterly spotless. And NO it doesnt scratch the paint.
I doubt that a) any one makes a direct fit supercharger for a Clio, b) the standard fueling system wouldn't have a hope in hells chance of dealing with positive boost pressure, c) finding space to one would be an issue.
PS those lecky S/C's actually caused a power loss when tested on an MR2...
I let it go cheap based on the fact it didnt start but it did and ran pretty much ok - whoops.
Never mind - Mikes a mate and even though some late higher bids came in I kept to our agreement.
I reckon a t-cut, refit the bump strips and new grill/boot strip and it'll look spotless again...
Any one know any where in London (preferably north) that can do a cambelt change for a fair price.
Asking for a mate who's been quoted £280 which I think is extortion.
A chip cant control things like ignition timing or give you more fuel where you need it in the rev range at specific critical points. Finely mapping a car to get the best results is a car to car basis. You HAVE to have the car on the road or the rollers plugged into a computer to see exactly...
Well not being a Clio driver and only really enjoy talking about p**n I tend to not post here too much any more.
I have other places for that :)
Seeing as I'm not a paid member any more I cant even post in other marques either lol.
But the valver has finally gone - to a pretty well known CS member.
Ended up just taking £500 for it with no tax or mot but tbh after not being used for 2 years, a tank of petrol and a good run it was purring again. Didnt even change the oil!
It's prob worth alot more than that but I have...
Will it not leave lots of crap in there though if it's gone lumpy ?
I've forgotten where the filter is lol - is it easy to get too/off ?
IIRC doesnt the sump plug need a funn square tool type thing to get it off?
Oils prob a bit yukky, sounded like the tappets were sticking a bit.
Shall I just use an engine flush then fill it back up?
Never done this before so can some one reccomend a good product and let me know whats involved?
If you want the best you'd go for proper ECU upgrades. Piggy backs like the Unichip or Andy's SMT's are good.
Standalone for the best and widest range of tuning.
Plug and play chips aren't all that hence why you hardly see any one with them any more.
I'm sure Andy will tell you the...
Hello, long time no speak!!
I need to replace the wheel barings on the rear passenger side of the valver.
How much do they cost and what type are they - IE are they the ones that need a press to fit them??
It's a 1997 - mk1 pase 3, I know my Clio's!
I'm positive it's a billabong but to the point - even though it has no door speakers and blank door cards are the mounting points still on the doors behind.
IE can I cut the door card or get replacements and still screw speakers into the doors.
My mates mrs has a ph3 mk1 Billabong and wants to uprate all the speakers. But it only has them in the dash???
If I take her door cards off, will the mountings still be there for speakers?
IE the same as a normal mk1 Clio door speaker mountings.
Ok, f**k me they are quick at top end.
I admit, I had NOTHING against it in that range. Once my boost drops off around 5k it ate me for breakky.
New turbo comes soon though that can hold boost :)
