Idle was all over the place and randomly idled at 2000rpm read on hear was icv so changed it made it worse lol

Nope not recently I haven't no all this has only just started, It doesn't make much sense! :-(

It is in just electric plug disconnected

No it is in but iv got the electric plug disconnected so it runs but don't rev high on idle

Yeah the rubber real on the end of the sensor that goes into the inlet is bit Mullered. And won't push in currently. So atm iv got it disconnected and using it like that till tomorrow when I get new one

Yep all put back on and sealed with sealant was playin up b4 I changed it as well next idea lol

Nope inlet never came off to fit it was pretty simple to change and yeah all pipe work is still on ok, what else could it be?

Iv just had the idle control valve fitted which took the revs sky high was idling at 3000rpm so I rang AA They sent someone out had a look around etc then un plugged map sensor and it cured the problem So his diagnostic said map sensor,

Right iv had the AA out today they have told me my map sensor Ish good told me to get new one etc. But he also said I could Get one from all but any Renault petrol engine is this true. I have a phase 1 172 Cheers Dean

Right had idling problems for a while now so yesterday read the forum seen load of responses for idle control valve, So went and got one changed it and it shot the revs right round to the limiter! Now iv been down today got another new one cost £103! But does the same can anyone help? Advice...

Is the for cable or fly by wire as i have same problem

so if i was to put the top and bottom inlet on my 172 off a 182 would it make much diffence? and whats diffirent about the exhuast manifold??? thanks Dean

Hi I have a 172 thats got a mind of its own................, Top end is a tad noisey been told the hydralic lifters need doing by one place and another place has told me to do the dephaser pulley and cam belt... now thats not the issue, the problem is its got a mind of its own it runs fine on...

yh thats the one nd and £800ish all declaired aswell so not to bad

its got all the phase 2 sport kit onit yes and its blue/purple cant decide which colour is actually is lol weird i kno! and whats up with doin a conversion?? i like it....... just needs a set of throttle bodies nnext :P

yes it is aarons old 1 :) but i got it then had to put a gearbox init :P also it was origanally a 1.4 but ktec kindly did a 172 conversion :P

nope i didnt pay 3k for a convertion i bought the car already done which didnt cost me alot hense y i got it, wouldnt have normally gone for a french car but im so glad i did tbh its the best fun i have ever had! also im not sure if it is runnin 172 as its had few other mods like ktec exhuast...

how come i cant get into the other parts of the site which say private on them?? have i got to become a full member before i can go onto them? as i need to find a new sideskirt for my 172 many thanks Dean
