Ahh yes. there is a large 2a one. I just removed it and found the fuse broken. When the column dropped it must have shorted the wire, blowing the fuse. Thanks for the help.
I was removing my steering column earlier to re-centre my steering wheel (long story), and it fell putting pressure on the decoder ring wiring (black wire, brown wire and red wire.
I have found the earth (black) to be ok and the brown wire to also be ok but there is a break in the red wire...
Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the lights on a ph2 172. I still have no tail lights side, dipped or main beams and the dash and centre console dont light up.
I have found i am getting power to the light switch and even when i bypass the light switch my lights still are not working.
Also...
Right i really need help with this one. Ive taken the top of my dashboard off so i could search around for loose or unplugged wires.
I still have no lights and found that i have no power to the fuses for the lights. Could a faulty light switch cause these problems. Does anyone have a wiring...
Found out the problem. I removed the circlip and washer and then removed the cup that the drive shaft slots into. Unfortunately i can now see the problem. The sun gear on the other side of the diff has damaged teeth which is causing the noise :(. Box back out again grrr.
I have taken the drive shaft out already to see if it was the drive shaft making the noise, which it wasnt. The circlip looks fine but I dont understand how the noise can only happen when the passenger side is turning? Surely if the diff bearings were bad it would make a noise even when the...
I recently fitted my low mileage gearbox into my 172. But on the test drive I have a loud wining noise. I found that if i jack both sides of the car up it is coming form the passenger side of the differential.
If I start the engine and put it into gear and I secure the passenger drive shaft so...
Ive just got my clio back on the road after installing the new engine and box. On the test drive i heard a wiring noise from the passenger side.
Ive found that with the passenger drive shaft off and the car in gear the passenger side diff makes a loud wiring noise. The drives side doesnt do it...
Ive nearly finished the rebuild of my 172 which should hopefully be up and running Monday or Tuesday depending on parts arrival.
Today I got a battery on it to check all the electrics. After changing the fuse for the radio and horn to get them working I also found that I have no exterior lights...
My 172 ph2 was missing the front n/s abs sensor. I brought a replacement but the plug end is the same as the plug on the loom of the car. I.e it has a male connector with two pins and so does the plug on the loom, so i cannot connect them together. Is there supposed to be a female socket in...
The thing is I have 3 standard crank sensors that came with my engine that all supposedly work so I was hoping to use them. The little metal terminals have pulled out of the loom plug so i just need to know which colour wire goes on top.
Ive nearly finished fitting a new engine and box in my car but as i didnt take it apart I have no idea where this part came from. Could someone please advise me?
Also my crank sensor wiring has been pulled out from the plug by whoever removed the engine. I have a light brown and a white wire...
Are they bespoke to each separate clio? Or are they generic. I dont have the original manual with the car so I cannot find out what my locking wheel nut key code is. I also cannot hammer a socket over them as they are protected by a sheath around the outside. Can anyone think of a way to get...
I finally got my engine and gearbox in but im having a few problems. The wheels have locking nuts on but the locking wheel key that came with the car is completely different. Are the locking wheel nuts in the picture one that come fitted as standard when the car was new or are they aftermarket?
