I've got a Clio cup that is a 53 reg with Climate Control.
Eibach springs and White speed line 2020 wheels with legal but worn Eagle F1 tyres. a couple of used spare too.
Done about 34 k miles, full service history etc.
Now, it's not perfect but I'm willing to let it go for a cheap price...
After 35000 miles and about 300 laps of the 'ring, dear old C172 CUP is feeling her age a little.
I'm failry certain her shocks are getting a bit worn and I need a suitable replacement, it doesn't need to be a full race setup, but something a little more hardcore than what I currently have...
If anyone knows the owner, maybe they can link to the thread ;)
I followed a Ferrari through the barriers in the Clio. He'd been in the carpark posing and went out for a lap.. The opportunity was too good to be missed. However, he just wouldnt let the 'faster' Clio pass, on the straight he...
Cleary I'm being a plum, but how the hell do you move the rear brake piston inwards?
Do I just keep turning it until it goes in enough, or do you turn it a certain amount of degrees and then push it it? Doing my head in!!
I'll need to start looking around for new tyres soon as was seeing if there were any bargains out there.
So far I've tried the Contisports and the Yoko A539. I prefer the Contisport, although you can't complain about the price of the A539.
A quick webseach has threw up the following tyres...
What are they worth?
Contisport tyres - 2 tyres OK, 2 not so good but all legal.
Wheels need refurb due to using PFC97 pads and not cleaning wheels....and all have some scuffing.
Dave
Are they these:
Continental
Summer tyres SportContact
195/45 R16 84V XL with rim protection
Local tyre place says we can have them fitted for £69 each.
It's time for a new set of boots for the 172 cup.
I'm not so keen on the A539's and fancy something a bit better. Although to be fair they have done me well, but the lack of rim protection mean my wheels look pretty crappy. They also look a bit on the thin side despite being 195 45 16...

Does anyone have a copy of this?
It was recently "lost" during our recent Northlopp.co.uk downtime.
I would like to upload it now we have set the videos for streaming only to be inline with the Ts and Cs of our webhosts.

Well I have just spent another weekend at the ring and recorded this peach.
I am followed out of the gate by a very experienced guy in a 968 CS, who seemed very happy to ride shotgun for a lap.
The camera is pointing backwards and really show some of the gradient changes of the ring.....in...
Hope you can help guys.
I am looking for a nice big outline of the ring.
Someone must have had one of these to make those nice big stickers you had made for you tour.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
Need to order some front disks, but I am no where near my car.
So I need either chassis number beggining- VF1
Or
Apparantly there is an oval on the bottom of the drivers side door pillar with 4 lines on it. One of the lines begins CB2T.....have you got the rest.
Cheers
Dave
Hopefully should have some nice footage of in car cam for you next week.
New digi cam and covert bullet cam are packed and ready to go.

I have just bought a bullet cam to work with my new digi cam corder.
After a quick review of where to position it, I notice that the centre of the Renault badge is empty.....a perfect size for it!
so, I just need to know how to remove the grill (near side).
Cheers
.....and hopefully I...
Now that we have bought a cup again would these fit?

I have been looking for some road legal slick tyres for the clio cup for a while, but it would appear I cant get them in 195/45/16.
Can you fit a wider size tyre? Or would this rub?
I notice the Clio Cup racer use 15" wheels, and it looks as if the range of rubber is greater in this size...
I have a bucket seat I want to try and fit in the cup for its maiden trip to the ring in a few weeks.
How do remove the seat? I had a look - are there little covers over the bolts?
Dave
Whats all this about then?
What does a cup splitter look like so I know if I have one or not?
Not so bothered about a luggage net.......but what else should I have had?
I just got a car and thats it!?!?!?
Dave
Hi,
My GF and I are regular Nurburgring visitors and have been there in my MY01 WRX and more lately in my Porsche 944 Turbo, although last weekend we made a very quick visit in my GFs MY00 Astra Sri.
On the return drive my GF said that she wanted a faster car for herself to drive at the...
