if its a 182 engine that doesen't run with a 182 ecu then there is def something weird going on, when you say it wont accept the 182 ecu, what do you mean ? it just wont start with it, does it turn over with the 182 ecu ? what happens, more info pls
forgot to say that the second and third pics are what i think each end of the same cable . anyone striped an interior our and know what these are ? my clock display works so dont think it can be for that....
the one at the top with the yellow on it has nothing plugged into it :confused:

where are the engine mounts ? obviously one on the top left as you look at the engine, i tightened these up as they werent tight when i checked, the dogbone joint is tight aswell, is there one to the right of the engine bay ? is access to it under the car or above ?

its a loud rattling noise, almost like the engine is rocking and shaking up and down, loose sounding , not sure how to explain with ill try to get a video
hi again chaparoones , not had the car long but having trouble taking off in 1st gear without the car shaking, not kangarooing, I mean that something shakes/rattles as I pull away, if I lift the clutch very slowly it wont do it, or if im moving along and pull away its fine, all the other gears...
Thanks for all comments chaps got a few things to try now , but how on earth do I remove a wiper motor ? Has the whole bottle got to come out looks like a big job with the wipers in the way
hi there im back to owning a 172 , picked it up yesterday , but it was used on the track and some electricals are not working.
1. Speedo goes on and comes off all the way home, it recorded 170 miles from a 260 mile journey strange any ideas ?
2.ABS light on and horn not working, have removed...
fabricated high flow inlet (possibly too complex), strut top mounts,front and rear upper braces (all i can find but can you produce them cheaper that is the q ?)
I have a different button to u it only had two outputs the centre isn't joined to another connection , but I think the middle is + and the other is earth so need to run the corresponding colours onto it with crimps if possible
Bought an aftermarket steering wheel , the horn is a cheap nasty looking push button , the horn Doesent sound it actually smokes !! Changed my squib as it burnt out the last ones live cable ! Fitted the new one and still smokes ! Can it be a dodgey button ? Really want this working and safe...

Hi i ve searched the forum and cant find anywhere how to adjust the main beams on my xenons upwards, as it failed its MOT on main beams too low !

well put a omp boss and suede wheel on , have added the 3.3ohm resistors and hooked everything up, horn works fine !
then 30 mins later doesent work ! then on then off thinking to myself wtf, so have re-wired the horn connections and crimped the ends, turns out after god know how long testing...
hi mate, send the inlet or a spare inlet to me and ill do it for you for a swap of a part or something, just putting the idea out there, did my own and ported a few cyclinder heads and gti inlets in the past , with good results, regards, Mark
btw , the placebo of having better throttle response after matched inlets isnt true, im 100 percent sure mine feels better even after port matching the upper and lower inlets myself ! can even prob sort out that awful factory porting done on the head at some point too, without taking the head...
as the topic says, as looking for a better condition wheel, that is smaller , im guessing the 197 wheel is a bit smaller does anyone know ? and is it a straight fitment
