Looks great and a beautiful colour. I don't suppose you know what type of bung is needed for the rear wiper? I was going to take mine off but it's a very odd shape so I wasn't sure a regular circular bung would fit correctly.
I have a 1996 Mk1 Clio and looking to get it a little lower as at the moment it's like a boat when going around corners. I'm just wondering if MK2 Shocks would fit? Also I was wondering if MK2 Springs would fit on Mk1 shocks?
I'm not looking at going really low just around 40mm to improve...
What's the best way to fit a kill switch on a Mk1? I was thinking of doing it to the ground of the fuel pump but I'm not 100% on what I'm actually doing.
After realising how easy it is to gain access to one of these without the keys I'd prefer to have some extra security in it as it doesn't...
The cambelts gone on my Mk1 d7f 730 and needs a new head or engine. I've found a Cylinder head for sale advertised for the Mk2 D7F. I've contacted the seller and asked if it would fit my MK1 D7F 730 engine and he said it would and he has used one before. I'd just like someone to confirm that...
Its trying to find one though dude :(. Need one cheap as possible.
Trying to keep the cost down otherwise I'd most likely of gone for a 172 conversion mate.
A garage will be putting the engine in as I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to things like this. I'm not fussed what engine goes into it as long as it works. I just need one that will fit in straight forward that will go straight to all the electrics etc that are already there to...
I'm not too sure if its an interference engine tbh. I'll try and crank it again and see if it seems quicker and smoother :)
Edit - Just tried it and it is alot smoother and quicker. Looks like it is the belt then. Hopefully it hasn't done too much damage.
Driving along at around 30mph and our car has just completely died and wont start back up. It went completely silently (no knocks or bangs etc) and will try and turn over but wont start. We had the AA out and they seem to think the timing chain has gone. I'm pretty sure it's a belt not a...
BUMP.
Still using water. The oil and water have definitely not mixed and there is no smoke coming from the exhaust. Car is also running absolutely fine and cannot spot any leaks.
It's used from around the max mark to just over the min mark on the coolant bottle in around 500 miles. Sometimes there has been a little bit of water from the exhaust but I've only noticed it when the car was cold so thought it may of been condensation.
If anyone has any advice on what I...
Thanks mate. Yeah I heard that has happened quite a few times with people :(. Apparently the newer models (07+) are alot better. I still don't trust them though lol.
Thanks :)
Thanks mate and I'm from the Nottingham area :)
They're brilliant cars mate! :). Ohh and by the way, we share the same name! I'm also called Dan Ward! Haha :)
I only bought them as temps but ended up keeping them for a while longer :(. I'm was saving up for a set of Helios but ended up moving house and spending my savings on that :(. Thanks though mate :)
Thanks dude :). It annoyed me having that slight gap. So I risked it and re-lowered it...
Thanks mate :)
Thanks, I hope I've sorted it. I had an issue with the bolts coming loose the other week but I've since loctited them and everything still seems good :)
Thanks mate. The wheels are actually due a refurb as there is quite a bit of kerb rash and pot hole damage from the...
Thanks mate :). It's the main beam that's yellow. The reflection from the glass gives the reflector a yellow tint. I've been contemplating on changing them but I'm not too sure if I like them or not haha.
Thought I'd post up my other car build incase anyone is interested. I'm just bored and thought I'd do it :).
I had a 2003 Volkswagen Bora and absolutely loved the car but I had problem after problem with it. So decided to put it to one side and purchase a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta.
1st thing...
This is as powerful as it gets. I've already got a car with power this is merely a car for the other half to learn to drive in. Just wanted a bit more grunt not more performance wise as I mentioned before.
