abs

Hi folks just failed mot on rear discs now im trying to buy parts everyone is telling me I have to do abs and barings at the same time is this true? It doubles the price so don't wanna pay for something that doesn't need doing

Has anyone bled their brakes with the RSTuner module? How did it compare to say using Clip? Just wondering if it's worth getting for bleeding the brakes 'properly' and activating the ABS pump Or would it be better just to borrow someone's Clip every so often? Thoughts and comments from...

Hi, Does anyone know if the Clio 182 has an anti skid system ? Basically the rear of the car when unsettled applied the brakes ... this was happening to me through paddock bend and entry into clearways and was really unsettling the car. Anyone know of this ? Any pointers appreciated ...

As above, tried to plug one of the DCIs in this morning and it cannot connect with the ABS. Checked the internal fuse and that's fine. Connects on the other DCIs fine :)

Hi guys was woundering if anyone has done this. were planning on having no ABS in the 172 so as where at it may as well run all new brake lines with a brake bias for the rear. has anyone got a brief overview of what needs to be donw with the Clio. Cheers Cliff

Picked up a 172 this week, pretty much perfect, but there's a small kick back in the brake pedal at low speeds when braking. Feels a bit like ABS, but no lights coming on dashboard? Any thoughts welcome...

Can I get an ABS ring without buying new brakes? I think I've cracked mine on the rear passenger brakes and could do with getting it fixed rather than getting a new set of brakes. If this is possible can anyone point me in the right direction for one?

My abs pump is knackered on my 172 an the garage I have took it to are struggling to find one for me an apparently the numbers on it are barely readable, so was just wondering if anyone knew realistically how many different part numbers there could be for this part just incase I can't get them.

I dropped the engine and gearbox out of the car and the steering came loose in the car, now the Three lights are on the dash, where do i start? How can check that the steering angle is right? do i need a diagnostic machine?

Hi all , followed a guide on here as my clio is a track car and has buckets fitted so no airbags, i fired the m3r3 3.3 ohm resistors to the correct places in the black and grey plugs, started the car up and the serv light and abs light went out but only to come back on after about 5 seconds ...

Clio 182 needing a rear abs sensor can I buy a Bosch or other banded make or does it have to be from a dealer ? I resd elsewhere on the forum by a post by Fred saying thst it's dealer only yet see them on europarts by Bosch for £39 a 3rd of the price for the same part from a dealer

airbag and serv light on. any ideas? i have tried playing with wires under the pass seat but to no change.. i heard i might need a new ecu and that would have to be re programmed im guessing. but any over ideas? TITLE WAS MENT TO SAY AIRBAG

Hey guys, building myself a 172 race car and as standard it has abs as its a FF 172. Anyway im about to build up my copper lines and was wondering, do I keep my abs or do I take it out and fit a bias valve? I know its not a bosch motorsport system but surely theres an advantage to be had with abs?

I need x2 new front abs rings for my Ph1 172. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how many teeth the rings for Ph1 have?

Can someone tell me the torque for the big bolt that holds the bottom of the shock to the subframe? Also if there is a specified torque for the smaller 17mm nut at the top. Done a search on here but cant seem to find anything. Thanks Paul
