In roughly 5bn years, the sun will have exhausted its supply of hydrogen and will expand massively to become a red giant. Several billion years after that, it will reach its terminal phase, dispel its outer layers and become planet sized ember, cooling slowly. Fast forward another 5bn years and our galaxy will merge with Andromeda before we head into 'deep time'. Over the next 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000yrs, we'll pass through the degenerate era as all the stars die, leaving us with nothing other than black holes and remnant ejected from their parent galaxies. Jump ahead by another x1000 or so and even protons will start to decay before we enter the long black-hole era between 10^36 and 10^100 years. During this period all is consumed in black holes, and the black holes themselves evaporate, bringing us to the eventual heat death of the universe.

There will be one singular day, upon which the final black hole burps out of existence, leaving nothing but low energy photons bouncing around an empty universe, and on that day, at 4pm, they'll finally let us know where CSF is going to be held.

Is that a Tuesday or a Wednesday?
