Joined a while back but never posted my car up so here it is.

Just a few pics of my second car which I have owned for nearly 2 years now. I'm at Uni at the moment so my budget is a bit slim but I'm hoping to make a few modifications before hopefully moving on to a 172/182 when/if I get a job.

In the mean time though it's great fun and very cheap to run

Most of the exterior stuff was already on the car when I bought it but I changed the side badges from plain black ones to silver 1.6 16v ones. Also returned the interior trim back to standard aluminiumesque as that had also been sprayed black.

When I say cheap I suppose it's relative, its no diesel but my insurance is only £500 which considering i'm 21/22 seems pretty good. I've also had 60mpg out of it before and get 48-50mpg on a run quite often (i drive steady generally ). I do the majority of servicing and repairs myself so that helps as well.

Nice colour that. Painting the black plastic would make a big difference...

I agree. That's one of the small modifications I want to make along with a set of 16" alloys, sports cat and manifold (to finish off the set), some Eibach proline springs and perhaps a few other bits.

Might consider spraying the trim over Easter seeing as it's my birthday and I'll have a little spare cash.

yeah 45-50mpg is possible for me on a decent journey like. Town plodding shags the fuel tank though. Im thinking of getting a ktec stealth like, will be in need of a new system sooner rather than later.
Black wheels would look good imo

Not too sure what the colour is but I think its just nautical blue though it may have had the illusion option. I have a sheet from Renault with the exact spec so I'll have to check it when I'm back home.

As for wheels I like the idea of satin black to match the black badges but I had considered a smoked finish as well.
