Dad is paying me the grand sum of £20 for all this by the way !
The car has been washed a total of 5 times since my dad bought this new back in 2006 by me, as its been a glorious morning i decided to set about it with as much force as i could ! Its now raining and i doubt it'll stop until Saturday So machine polishing is out of the window unless id decide to get my speedos on !!!
The interior however, has never been cleaned, I'm surprised at how clean the car looks on these photos (please excuse the quality, the rents are on holiday and have robbed my camera, so Ive only got an N95 8Gb). Knowing what this country is like, i decided to get the worst parts out of the way, the interior and tar riddled wheels.
Products used:
Chemical Guys V.R.P. Dressall
Car Plan Wonder Wheels
AutoGlym Autofresh
AutoGlym Interior Shampoo
Dyson Hoover
Waitrose APC
Aldi APC
The process:
Car was given a full hoover out with the dyson, seats were cleaned with AG Interior shampoo and then sprayed with AG Auto fresh, the interior plastics were set about with Waitrose APC and some interior shampoo again, and dash wiped down with a damp cloth with APC, steering wheel was rubbed town with AG Shampoo and a cloth to clean it up. The Plastics were then dressed with CG VRP Dressall (I love this stuff) which has bought the car to life again and covered some horrible marks up.
Before:
After:
Now the interior was complete i set about the next thing, the wheels. Ive not seen a car with so much tar on it's paintwork before, and the wheels were just as bad, i confess to using Wonder wheels because i wanted to conserve the clay for the paintwork, and the clay wouldn't have even touched the tar on the wheels it was so bad.
The Process:
Wheels were first washed with a noodle shitmitt using a mix of Waitrose APC and also Aldi APC, they were then attacked with Car Plan Wonder wheels, and once clean were re washed thoroughly with the shitmitt and APC Mix again.
(To Be Uploaded - Photobucket is down for now)
Next Up:
I'm going to be concentrating on the wheel arches and the paintwork, paint will be clayed with Meguiars Aggressive Clay and will be machine polished with the G220 using Meguiars #83 using a cutting pad, and will be finished with Autoglym SRP, followed with whatever i decide to use at the time, Dodo juice purple haze, Jeffs jet trigger sealant (I know its called something different now) or AG EGP.
