1.2 16v Engine swapped and now has some strange issues :(

Basically my engine is just not running right, I haven't even touched the accelerator because it sounds so nasty.

It's a bit difficult to tell with the video quality and all, but is the squealing noise a belt? If so maybe try running it without the aux belt on, and see if it goes away. If its not a belt, which sort of area is the noise coming from mostly? Have you done any other work to that engine before putting it in? Cambelt, clutch etc?

Yeah sorry about that I just didn't know how I could put it in words.

It's actually sorted now, turns out that the squealing was air escaping from a cracked carbon emissions chamber and since the air wasn't going back into the engine it was just confused about what to rev at.

Blocked the two hoses and it runs fine however may fail an mot now due to emissions.
