1.2 16V strange rattling/whining engine noise?

Hi everyone! My Clio is driving fine but making the noise as shown in the video. The noise kicks in at around 2K revs and leaves at 3K revs however does sometimes come and go at higher/lower revs but predominantly as said above.

In the video the noise starts at 14 seconds at 2K revs drops out at 27 seconds when I hit some higher revs 3K +

Starts again at 32 seconds at 2K revs drops out at 39 seconds at 1K idle

Then back again at 42, out at 48, then 49 til end of video when revs drop. It also stays in different gears (1st, 2nd, 3rd at a push 4th(revs usually too high) never 5th)

Is that the silver thing at the back of the engine? Is it a big issue?

It can be many. You need to find the loose one.

Sorry to hijack, but mine makes a tapping noise around 2k. When cruising around I can hear it, not sure if its normal or not but definitely from the engine. It dissappears after 2k.
