1.2 16v tyres

Okay so just come back from an MOT and been advised on changing the rear tyres, so I'm thinking about just changing all 4. Anyway after a quick search I've found I can use either 185/55/15R or 195/50/15R, first I wanted to make sure this was correct and secondly if there are any other sizes?

Also after having a quick browse on black circles I was wondering what the best tyres to get in the £50-£70 range including fitting.

Yeah you can run both sizes, but I think the 195s might catch on the rear under hard driving from what Iv read on the forum although quite a few people seem to be running them without issues. I replaced all 4 of mine after the MOT, seeing as the ditch finders that came with the car were pretty much on their way out! I fitted Michelin Pilot Exalto 2s ,185s (great tyre esp in the wet), £75 a tyre inc fitting from a local garage they were the cheapest by far even compared to online prices! So it might be worth ringing a few around your local area see if theyll beat the price.
