1.2 engine cover

Seen alot of painted sport engine bays going to give mine a little jazz up do you have to use heat protective paint or will standard spray paint do you and has any 1 else done a 1.2 any knowledge or guide would be useful. Thanks Guys

i think standard spray paint should be ok as its only plastic so i doubt it gets hot otherwise it would melt. just only paint the top though

Standard spray cans are fine.

hazza do you know of / have any pics of someone who painted the plastic intake manifold from a 1.2 , i was thinking about maybe doing mine a dark silver (like the 2.0L engine) and then covering the engine cover with carbon fibre

I've not known anyone to do it. But tbh i think it will look absolutely shite mate.. would look very tacky!

Don't do it! But the carbon fibre engine cover would look reet.

did a quick chop, think you might be right, wont it look too dark if the engine cover is CF and everything else is black

Yeah, may look a bit too dark.

Got for a brighter color maybe... anthracite looked good! ^^

My engine cover is off anyway... sold it y'day! haha
