1.2 Immob problems

Hi guys,

My Mother-in-law's 2000 X plate Clio 1.2 is playing up.

We think it's the immobiliser. The car unlocks perfectly well using the fob. When she puts the ke in and tries to turn the engine over the immob LED flashes rapidly and it doesn't fire up.

Is this a known problem?

What is the solution? Anybody help me?

That happened when I was playing with my immobiliser, I had a loose connection, could be several things mate, best to take it to a mechanic

if it's flashing it's either the key is knackered or needs resyncing, or the decoder ring around the barrel is gone. Car will still unlock if the key is faulty.
