1.4 16v overcharging, new regulator, new battery.

  2002 Clio 2 1.4 16v
Like the title says. New regulator, new battery. For some reason I have a 4.5A current draw with key off. So I leave my battery ground off to keep it from draining over night. Now I was driving around and lights came on and my new battery was boiling over. Its overcharging even though the regulator is new. Any tips what it could be? I'm moving next weekend (26, July) so I need the car working soon. Thank you very much.

I had same issue with my car few months back and was sure it wasn't alternator and guess what it turned out to be at fault? The alternator! ?
Disconnect live on alternator and check current draw.
As your diods could be at fault
