1.4 to a 2.0 advice please

right then guys i need sum quite specific help here...

basically ive got a 2000 W reg 1.4 clio ( 3 door)

went into the back of a women at a roundabout yesterday didnt do nething to her car, but the front of mine has become damaged, need a new front wing, part of my front bumper needs doing also inc the middle part of the grille.

not going threw insurance cus of excess + premiums.

so im thinking about insted of just replacing the standard front, maybe go to reno n and get the bits i need to make it look like a 2.0.( the mark 1 2.0 of the same age as mine)

just after sumbody that knows exactly wot im going to need to change, wot new bits ill have to buy and which bits ill need to take of my clio.

im going to buy the parts i need from reno then have a mate spray and fit them .

im not too bothered about cost cus its gona cost a bit neway to change it for the same standard stuff.

You need new wings, bumper and arch liners to make it look like a 172. Maybe some other wee things as well but those are the definates.

best to get them from reno? or can u buy them newhere else?

could try ure luck at a breakers? mines got a 2.0 172 kit on it its a 1.6 16v with the 172 wheels as well looks nice

yeh im looking in yellow pages at the min theres sh*t loads of breakers in it.

ill ring around tomoro, i dunno how difficults its gona b finding 2 new 172 wings thos :S

really want them tho, does any1 else knwo of nething else i will need to get to transform the front to a 172 ? this a mark 1 172 again people.

and also if i get say the front wing its a different colour, how easy is it for a body shop to spray it a different colour? is it the same as painting a new plain panel ??????

i think Prima do a look alikey front bumper if thats of interest probably cheaper and you can just get a standard wing to replace the bent one

good idea will investigate, i dont think a standard front wing will be too difficult to source
