Right, what sort of mpg stats are other 1.6 16V owners getting?

I forget what my mpg was originally but I've fitted a K&N panel filter recently and now I can't seem to get more than 31mpg, I'm sure it was a fair bit more than this originally?

Or maybe it's this cold weather? Does temperature affect mpg?

Mines averaging 36mpg although it does seem to be consuming a bit more fuel the colder its getting.

Depends on how long your journeys are if your doing under 10 miles at a time dont expect good mpg especially now its cold.

Well, buy putting a k&n air filter or any filter on you obviously want your car to sound louder ( which is fine ) but the sound only ever increases when you put your foot down and boot it! .... which takes more petrol.
Its as simple as that, and the cold weather doesnt help.
