1.7 turbo gearbox-the one in the volvo? it is a renault engine/gearbox so i would say it would definatly fit a clio not so sure about a 5 though.do you have the gearbox number(probably begins with jc or jb)

basically, due to too many people saying that fitting the r19 16v to my mk1 4dr clio was a bad idea, i sourced a 1.7 Turbo motor from a volvo...

Just need to know what gearbox i can use, as the one i have here is an auto!

to go from auto to manual you will also need to change the flywheel and tdc sensor

the gearbox will fit a 5 you may need to source mounts from a 1.7 gtx tho.
