1.8 16v engine problem

hi all, new to this forum. looking to get a clio 1.8 16v to do a bit of track racing in and have found one i like but there is a problem with the engine which im not to sure about. hopefully someone can pin point it for me.

sorry to ramble on but any information on possibly what it is would be grateful. thanks in advance

Yep sounds like the circlips gone easy to change them if your lucky can take ages if your not just the way it is only a few quid for the parts.

extremely common. Happened to my valver not long ago. Quite easy to fix, and like edde says, cheap part.

They hold the differential togtehr when they brake the dis isn't help together so no power goes.

yeh but its putting miles on the odometer lol... time for the reverse drill me thinks

yep special order part so takes a few days get a Haynes shows you where they are etc I think there 4 best chnage them all though regardless.
