1 litre of fuel left,..

Was late for a hospital app monday morning, and when I got in my car the fuel light was on, when it had lit up, on the way back from Wales the night before I'd zero'd my trip computer reading, and it was now on 24 miles... So I figured I'd make it to the hospital (11 or 12 miles away).

Left the hospital and filled up at the local tesco, and when I looked at the receipt I had put 49 litres of fuel in.

So I had 1 litre and whatever was in the line...


Who can beat that? (with an emptier tank, not with a lengthier thread)

i had a mile to go to the petrol station, the light had been on for 40ish miles......cut out and i coasted down the high street, down a hill into the petrol station forecourt, luckily nothing in the way and didnt have to stop....filled up and went on my way

I drove from home to Amsterdam on one tank of fuel, was about 5 miles from the hotel, light came on and the stupid car started bleeping. The 'Range' indicator went from 45miles to ---miles. Crawled about 2 miles over 30 minutes and started bricking it thinking that the fuel was going to run out so just drove down the hard shoulder.
