1 MB BB takes 20 seconds between web pages!!!

if it takes 20 seconds to actually start loading the site then it sounds like dns resolution problems. what provider is this with?

i hate it when my nets goin slow as s**t... i was stuck on dialup for like 4 months.... god that was very annoying!

try this, go to internet explorer > tools > internet options > untick automatically detect settings, should speed up.

Im on Telewest 10mbps BB.

Sure I can get actual download speed of 1MB per second but often web pages are slow still.

Incidentally for anyone who doesn't know...

1mb broadband re thread title isn't 1MB ie 1MB per second it's 1mega BIT per sec which in theory means you can download 1mega BYTE in 8 seconds as there are 8 bits in a byte.
