106 rallye 1.6

Car  clio 172 cup
what do ppl think of these?
any body drove 1 or raced 1?
they seem a very gd project car supercharge it 190bhp in a 800kg car!!!

Series 2 was a 106 8v 103bhp (the series 1 was 1.3 100bhp)

Best mod for mroe power is to drop a 16v lump in there from the gti. Thats 120bhp. They respond well to tuning too so 130bhp with a pugsport exhaust/decat and a decent enclosed induction kit. Cams and remap will see 155-160bhp.

They are very quick. I've got a stripped 16v series 2 capable of sub 9min BTG 'ring laps. It would be evenly matched with the 172 cup upto 60 and maybe start dropping back a little by 100. Very light, handle well and cheap to run and maintain.

yes, i have mentioned before that there was one in front of rob on a cs meet once. Rob couldnt accept that fact hed been beaten by an old car and a small engined one at that. We were going up a long hill and f**k me it was pulling away, not a lot in it, but still.

theyre old now, which is why i couldnt get one.

They're cool, I own one, but Clios should own them

Only 103bhp, not much torque, so not too quick at higher speeds , but nippy with great handling and superb feedback. Running costs are cheap and I've never had problems with them anyway.

For me I like the looks the most though... :o

Indigo Blue is gorgeous, yes, but Black is the rarest.

Clios are better in everyway, in terms of performance and build, especially considering the current prices of PhQuicks, but the Rallye is cheaper and more fun if you're into rawness. I don't think we'll be blessed with another hatch again without PAS, ABS, airbags, electric windows, etc :star:

White S2

Or if you want to go old skool there's the 1.3 S1 Rallye:
