120mm trumpets in Ktec bodies

Anyone using 120mm 45mmID trumpets in their KTEC DTH bodies WITHOUT angle
Modifications?

I understand you will need to trim bonnet and use a larger filter.

Taking measurements from the current bodies with 90mm trumpets and total length from head to end of trumpet is 280mm, that only gives 30mm of clearance left for filter as single skin bonnet (taking into account 20mm void needed inside of filter and end of trumpet).

Better off sticking to 90s?

That's what I have Sonny.
I've not had it dynoed yet but they were run on icemanuk's car if you remember him (Russ' shell) and it made good power.

And you had enough space for the air between end of trumpet and bonnet?

Well I decided to order a set of 90s (i made a c**k up before and ordered 90s with a 48ID and not 45ID

There isn't much space, if any but it doesn't seem to matter in this case. It is only a small area that doesn't have the "specified" clearance. The car won races with it like that.
When I get it dyno'd I will try it bonnet open and closed to see if it makes any difference.

Ok Mark thanks. Be interested to see, oh and not saying that that car isn't drivable, but talking about minute bhp losses at high rpm.

So your total length must be 290mm? (Head to horn face).
