12k joke....

Went into Reno Maidenhead today to book my 12k service the conversation went along these line;.....

Me: Good morning id like to book my clio 172 in for it 12k service please

Reno: Oh is that an import then??

Me: Yes why do you ask?

Reno: oh because the imports have 12k service intervals and the UK spec cars have 18k service intervals

Me: WTF and just before i ripped this blokes head of the service manager came over and corrected him. FOOL.

AND.... on top of this i cant get a car of them coz they say that you have 2 be over 21!!!! HOW DO THAT WORK? Fiat used to give me cars when i was 17!!

Sorry, Throw a tantrum, explain to him in no uncertian term that there was no mechanical difference in an import or a UK car. And therfore he was talking crap.

You should have no problems with getting a car at 21 there right there garage insurance seems to not to cover for under 21 driving courtesy cars. But ring up your insurer saying its in for warently work and theyll cover you for free usualy on a courtesy car.

Then tell the garage you have insured the car and they will/ should be ok about it.

dealers are nobs, 99% of them thihnk the 1st service on a 172 is 18,000 miles, imagine if you listened to them and then went to put a warranty claim in?! t**sers, i can see why u were mad, i werent impressed with Reno m/cr when i went, they didnt take me for real so I went to Bolton and bought my car from there!
