Im due for a 12k service at the end of next month.I was told i need to have the service done with renault themselves to keep in with the warrenty.

The thing is i know of a family friend thats done all my previous cars reno/non reno...is it ok for them to do the service? or would you get renault to do it?

Also when i come to sell will this affect the value due to me not having it done at a main renault dealer?

its an 04plate uk spec jut over 8,000 miles

What do you thinks the best thing to do?

Thanks

I'd have it done at Renault but supply the oil if you want anything special.
You don't need Renault to do it you just need a VAT regsitered garage to do it and stamp the book but personally when I buy a car I like to see Renault stamps in the book.

so it wont affect the price when i come to sell
propbably not but there be loads odf 182 for sale full Renault history will help to see it if your getting the labout for almost free though saving say £100 its worth it then leasy you can reduce your car by £100 at say 30k when you seell it and be quids in.

sorry 1 last thing....

so as long as i keep within the dates(first reg 29-7-04) need a service before 29-7-06 it dont matter who i have the service with renault or not i still have the warrenty?...or does it have to be with renault to keep the warrenty going?

Also does anyone else have/had there car serviced not with renault and had any problems regards warrenty?

sorry slightly confusing ,posted with me phone.

Nope doens't matter who its with so long as it VAT they use Renault original parts and stanmp the book saying they have done the service as per Renault insuructions.
The only possible issue is if the engine blows up and Renault find out its becase somehting which is cheacked in the service wasn't done they wil feruse the calim.
Renault dealerships don't care about who stamped the book they get the money from Renault UK warenty so long as the paperwork is correct.
