15 or 16 inch wheels?

Car  Discounted 1*2 parts
I have a 182 full fat and am gunna buy some new wheels. I initially wanted 16" turini's but after looking at many pictures 15" wheels are growing on me quickly. I know clio's need to be pretty slammed to pull off a 15" wheel but coilovers are on the cards.

The other advantage with 15" wheels is cheap tyres and wheels are cheaper to buy. Will they make the car handle/perform any better?

However the one thing in the back of my mind is do 16" wheels generally look better.

Any thoughts/comments?

Tom

To be very picky, 15" better for acceleration, 16" better for top speed, but I doubt it's enought to actaully make a difference.

Just get whats in your budget IMO. Personally like 16" better, but I drive a 1.2 so have no interest in anything to do with it moving.

16 will fill the arches better,

15 will be lower, much less weight and smaller diameter so will make it accelerate abit faster, though if you get with small tyres will put your speedo out slightly,

personally i like 15, i think small cars suit small wheels.

so, 2 differing comments so far doesnt help me really

i definately think the 16's fill the arches better but i'm going for a track/fast road look and 15's would suit that style more

argg i cant decide!!

15's for me as I have them :) But as said, needs to be on coils really to pull it off.

15's do look good on your motor

what profile tyres do you run 45 or 50?

I run 50's the same as most others do, I always swore by 45's tho as I had these on my old car but seeing somes pics of a Bean on here with 45's they look lost in the arches, so the car would have to be stupidly low to make them not look out of place.

I loved my car on 15"s running 50 Tyres, If its going low I think it looks spot on.
