you might get more power out of the 5 gt engine but you´ll also get loads of hassle,plus arnt you going back in time taking out an engine that runs on injection and putting a 5 engine in thats carb,the 16v engine would be a nice gain
i'd just sell your car and get a valver tbh the amount of work you have to do to do a conversion properly, brakes, suspension, etc i was considering buying a 1.4 rt to convert when i first wanted a clio then i looked into doing it myself which wouldnt bother me as im not mechanically challenged and would do it all myself but buying a valver was the far best option as you can pick them up cheap now and insurance will be the same (maybe more on the conversion) because only a right twit would fail to notify the insurance company of an engine change. Plus it'll never look like a valver/williams
