16v Insurance

I have just got my paper work throu from my insurance company for my valver.

I told them it was a 1994 1.8 16v but on the cover note it says 1.8 RSi, is this right? When i gave them the reg number it come up and told them it had a tracker fitted so surley it would tell them what engine it has got!!

Also a couple of insurance on line quotes, i put clio then 1994 but they only showed the RSi and not the 16v!! Whys this?

NNNNNNNNNnooooooooooo 1.8 RSi was the 8v version - you need to get them to change it, otherwise youll end up in trouble!

yeah i had the same thing online, when they quoted me on a rsi not a 16v. the 16v turned out to cost a lot more but you have to get it done or you wont be insured

i have just been on the phone to the insurance company and its gonna cost £621 now!!

If i cancel my policy i lose my £112 deposit that i paid last week! W*****s

Apparently i dont know what car i own as i apparently told them it was a RSi 8v but they dont have the conversation recorded!! Suprise Suprise!!

Do ya think they do it on purpose so you take out the more expensive policy later on rather then lose you deposite?

In a dilemma now as im no longer insured and have to get home from work tonight!!

crap isnt it i had the rsi problem cos the system asked my cars age door number and egine size and decided i own rsi.

althought its not right what they have done 621pounds seems an ok price to me with your details, although you probably know better, just be glad u are not 19 and own a 16v like me costs a little more than 621 ;(

Am going throu the back of Max Power and trying every insurance company advertised!! Its only works time so i dont care!!

To be honest 1st Quote are still the cheapest so far @ £621 plus i have paid my dep so i think i am going to have to keep with them! I just dont wanna give them the satisfaction of having me bent over a barrel!!
