172/182 FF Climate control

  Insignia SRi
Is there any way of setting it to a certain level, everytime i press the auto button it just keeps going up until its at hurricane force and i have to turn it back down again to the level i want?? Does everybodys do this??

172 cup drivers need not apply!! lol ;)

it works off the desired temp when its in auto. It should calm down when the cabin gets to the set temp.

  Iceberg 172
No... cos it needs the extra power to get to the temp you set (?!)

Alternatively, you could increase the temp until the fan is at a reasonable speed and then gradually reduce the temp.... Or you could just man up and let it do its job ;)

This may sound like a silly question but will an iceberg 172 get cooler than a flame red one?

technically most probably as the lighter colour reflects more heat than the darker flame red would resulting in a marginally cooler car - altho personally i prefer hot :D

My AC is really loud when on full blast... drowns the radio. I sometimes turn the AC off for a while and open the windows. It's nice for a change ;-)

Is someone not understanding CC?

Just turn it off auto and adjust it.

... or increase the ambient temerature setting.

Mind you the whole purpose of climate control is that it does this stuff itself. Well it does... just that when it's 30 degrees outside it'll be whacking out all it can, and that can be noisy.
