172 & 182 Leather - Different Part No

thing is Dai, its not a 182 seat cover, because of the silver under the alcantara.

So I guess its like others have said, its down to batches.

So there is no part number query etc

Lee, I know it is not down to part numbers now mate. Just wanted to see if the 182 leather was different which may explain why the replacement 172 leather is different from mine. Maybe it is a different batch and if they order a new one in then maybe it will match.

I dunno, this sux anyway !

Leather on 182 pics looks same as mine. Just newer and slightly less creased!!

That second pic, looks like the leather is embossed, and Im pretty sure my 03 172 is not embossed, that would make the two look quite different, as the light will reflect differently on embossed/non embossed hides, and the colour may appear different. The embossed print will sit down slightly after some time, and smooth out a little, but from them piccies I can see your point.

thats the headrest, you chould be able to tell if pattern the same from that.

I have finally been able to look at the replacement leather and it seems that they have only replaced the top half of the seat skin and it does not match ! The RenaultSport embroidery in the seats are also a different colour, the original was silver and the new is grey. The leather is definitely a different texture too.

It will be going back to Renault next week anyway to be sorted ! What a mess !

The driver seat side wall was showing bad signs of wear after just 17000 miles.

Well I know several people who have had their seats replaced under warranty for the same reason.
