172/182 manifold/gasket port size help

Need some experienced people in here! The head to manifold gasket I bought from the local factors seems to match up the bolts fine, however the port sizes do not.

The manifold measures 53mm across, but the gasket is 43mm, same issue with the height.

Is this because the ports on the 172 head are around 43mm? or is the gasket the wrong one?

depends which head you have, small port (phs2 172/182) then that gasket is fine, big port (early phs1 172) = no good
