172 & 182 parking who else does it ..lol

Selfish attitude really.

Funniest one I saw was some 10 year old battered Rover in the middle of two spaces. I was just thought to myself; why?

One day you'll come back to no parking dings but a nice big scratch all the way down your car, some c**t will have you for it.

to be honest, you get mindless tw*ts key your car for no reason (i had it not long ago) and it makes you wonder if those same sort of people who park next to you, intentionally give the door a bash aswell!
I agree with you totally. I'm just saying you might be more at risk for doing that. You might annoy someone who otherwise would not do that type of thing randomly, but get all vigilante on your arse.

I think youre onto something there. My bro drives an Elise it was keyed 4 times in the first three months. Some People dont like the thought of someone else having a better car.

I avoid cars with baby seats in them as they will try and get a push chair down the side of your car, swing the door wide open to get the baby in too.

4x4's are the worst as the door's look like they've cleared the car then when people get in them the suspension moves and puts a nice big dent in the car.

i drive round for ages to find a decent space lol.

from reading this i think the lesson to be learnt is to park your car next to a well looked after model and not over 2 spaces. remember a well looked after car doesn't need to be an expensive car either. avoid 4x4's as well.

yep, and theres all the 'jealous' factor involved too, even if you don't annoy someone theres always the danger that because your car stands out a bit, that gives them a reason to vandalise it.

i just make it a habit not to park next to 4x4s or cars with child seats, 4x4s with child seats in them is a death trap! lol

Yeap - indeed parking next to expensive cars will not be a a sure fire solution, posted the other day on here when a guy in a new Merc smashed his door into the car next to it.

The problem is, Clio doors dent so easily, they're made of paper! I seem to have done ok for parking dings for a while now, I just stay away from cars which look as though they have kids in them and try and park on the end.

I know it's only a Clio but parking dents look horrible!

It's only a clio, who cares!

I doesnt matter what it is its peoples pride and joy that for many they have saved for years - then looked for months to find a perfect example, put all there effort into keeping it pristine, for some pr*ck to come along and dent the door.

Dont care if its a metro or an enzo the same applies.

Try to park in a quieter area of the car park when shopping, always at work early so get a decent space then with usually like minded people parking near me.

I used to work at a supermarket - nightmare!!!
When I get my Clio I'll park it in a secure car park, at the top level where no one goes!!!
Only problem is if it's on it's own with no one around, it looks more tempting for theives...

At gym i used to go to a few of us used the disabled spaces by the doors (naughty) but the carpark spaces were teenie.

i leave notes on cars that park over 2 spaces, pisses me right off.
fair enough you don't want your car to be damaged, but park with common sense, like everyone has said, away from the busy part of the carpark.
i once saw 3 land rovers, 2 X5's and a porsche all parked over 2 spaces on the same row in the local asda carpark, i ran out of fooking paper!

when i'm looking for ages for a parking space i have actually considered keying the c***s car, i've never done it but damn its annoyeing when there is no place left to park.

TBH I can see both sides, it is annoying when someone parks over two spaces, but then I can understand why they do it too

Its a clio at the end of the day. No point taking two spaces and it just comes across as being incredibly rude and selfish.

I always park in the quietest area of the supermarket etc which is almost always the furthest away as people are lazy.

Another option is parking next to plant beds/features so your car only gets bashed/dinged on one side.

I learnt the hard way. Park over two spaces and you get your car keyed.
The best bet is to park away from everybody

i dont park over 2 spaces i just park away from people

further to walk!!! i dont tend to park over 2 spaces cos i remember getting annoyed myself when seeing it, so i just think it would make someone more likely to scratch your car out of spite of you doing it!

I never take up two spaces. I do however often park:

-in the middle of the car park
-on an end spot next to a kerb/hatched area and get right up to it
-next to expensive cars
-never next to MPV's or cars with child seats
-never next to shopping trolley return area
