172 - 182 Questions

Hi

On the look out for a Clio of some sort. Really like the 172 Cup styling, but think the interior lets it down slightly (a small issue for me after driving a Golf). Also like the 172, but styling wise, the Cup has the egde. So, I was wondering of the 182 Cup has the same bodystyling as the 172 Cup, but is just heavier and loaded with leather, aircon etc? I'm drawn to the 172 Cup because of the colour. But also torn between it and the 182 Cup in black, with all the creature comforts. Can any one help me shed some light on the matter?

If any members could post interior shots I would greatly appreciate it

3 options:
172/182 ff - leather, alacantra, heavier 5 spokes, climate etc etc
172/182 cup - lighter seats, wheels etc nice colour blue, better suspension pack
182 trophy - fast with nice seats.

This is a very rough guide, lots of 172/182 owners with cup packs/trophies etc

I own a 172 ff and love the interior/climate control and prefer this over the slightly better performance.

I'n your position my personal choice would be 182 ff, with cup packs. In the awesome black gold. IMO obviously, all up to you though.

You pretty much got it spot on there, with a set of Keskin KT4's

Other than the twin exhaust and different wheels the 172 cup and 182 are pretty identical in looks from the outside.

I think you need to decide what you want? if you want all the toys then go for a 172/182 if you can live without them then get the 172 Cup

One thing which would put me off buying a Cup is the lack of ABS etc if you drive the car and have bad habbits or arn't always turn on or other drivers of your car arn't switch on they are likly to crash it hence for me looks etc don't matter making them and myself have that extra safety barier are.

The 182 Cup doesn't come in black - as someone else has said, maybe you should go for the 182 FF in black gold, that should tick all the boxes for you.

Or if you like the colour of the 172 Cup, Arctic Blue is a similar colour in the 182 and you could always get some Turinis for it.

Haha! Cheers guys. Yeah, undecided. Probably just keep it OEM. Sorry, i meant 182 sport with Cup packs. This one seems to pretty much tick all boxes, shame its the other side of the country
