172/182 Steering wheel

so will i be able to buy the above wheel and swap all the bits over ( airbag and cruise buttons ) and have working cruise as i do now daz ?

Not as far as I know. You can put a cruised wheel on a non-cruised car by simply removing the buttons and swapping the airbags, but to do it in reverse I don't believe it's possible.

Two mins, I'll find a pic...

Best I could do...

A wheel with cruise;

and the one from the forsale advert, without cruise;

The buttons are removable but I don't believe a wheel without cruise will have the facility for adding them.

As i have the wheel here i thought i'd add

the no cc wheel has gaps where the buttons would go, also has a kinda metal rail which looks asthough it would supply the power

there is also a recess at the top where the cabling for the cc runs through, it looks to me as if it could be done but im not 100%

I think its going to be a no then to be on the safe side, shame as the wheel was well priced and very good condition.

Is the RenualtSport logo at the end of the wheel detachable/clip on?

Justin, when I bought my 182, I asked if the wheel from my 172 could be swapped over as it was only about 7 months old, and the new one had a tiny imperfection (which has now got bigger) and the technician said that if it was swapped, the cruise wouldn't work.
