I've started running 15's (Mk1 172 OZ F1's) just because the tyres are stupidly cheap and to limit brake dust damage on my original 16's

I wouldn't alter the original setup and wouldn't go to 15's personally.

Sure 15's will pull better but you might get more sideward tyre roll depending on the tyre.

I did half a day at Bedford on my Turinis with 205/45/16 PE2's and then switched to the F1 Cups with 195/50/15 GSD-3's in the afternoon. It was close but I'd say the car handled better on the 15's. Not much of a fair comparison being different tyres but the 15's were great.

The only concern i would have if any is that the 15's sit very close to the brake caliper so might mean the brakes get a little bit hotter. Didn't get any problems though.

indeed, wasnt really asking what people's best opinions where.

i run 15's for track days.

just trying to gauge which is most popular, as having a 4 pot brake setup exclusivly designed, and need to know if its worth making a kit for 15 inch wheels, or save a bit on deveolpment costs and just do a 16inch wheel kit.

You can get Kumho V700 trackday tyres in std 182 size 205/45 16.. Should be getting some of these but at just over 100 quid a pop not cheep..!

Saying that if you get A048R's or Pilot sport cup's etc in 15 inch then they are still well over 100 quid each...!

I ran 15's at Oulton last month and i prefer the 16's, the 15's felt better because they were lighter over bumps, but the 16's seem to be better all round for the car.
