hi new to the site, just wondering is there any major diffrences between the 172 and 182 insurance wise i mean is it more expensive to insure a 172 or a 182 baring in mind im 20 and only have 1 years ncb and also how much does the cup pack affect insurance on the 172 any help will be appreciated

I believe there both grp 16 so shouldnt be anymore for either insurance wise.

cup packs make no difference as its standard extra! as for insurance, i would have thought the 182 would cost a little bit more as its a brand new car! and at 20, with only 1yr NCB its gona cost you loads!!

Just for an idea i was 20 when i got my 172. Cost me £1500!!

And im the fairer sex so your looking at 2k+

well up2 now online wise the best iv had is nearing the 3000 barrier, so realistically the 172 standard 172 cup 182 and 182 with cup packs will all be roughly the ssme price insurance wise, just need to know cos it seems a lot of 172 cups are for sale but didnt know whether it would cost alot more to insure due to the fact there faster and lack of abs etc
