Anyone have any experience of insuring a clio as a second car? im looking at getting one as a track toy and general weekend fun car but having no no claims and not yet coming into classic territory im thinking its gonna be pricey.
There are so many factors used to determine how much you might pay, including your post code, age, driving experience, convictions, accident history, main vehicle, annual mileage, where the vehicle is kept overnight, your occupation etc. Fill in the blanks and I'm sure someone will be able to come up with some ballpark figures for you, although what you define as 'pricey' might be someone else's 'reasonable'.
I insure my Trophy with Sky or Greenlight, and the 3er is insured elsewhere, both are a similar ballpark figure to what you've quoted but the BMW had 0 no claims.

If you have NCB on your main car we can mirror that onto the 172 giving you full discount on the clio even though the NCB is in use elsewhere.
Ideally if you could reduce the miles on the 172 to below 5k (3k is even cheaper) it will lead to some really good quotes. Plus with us you can add things like roll cage, buckets seats etc free of charge.
Drop me a PM with your contact details if you wanted me to take a look at a quote for you
Neil@greenlight I will certainly be checking yous out I'm currently insured on my 182 but I also want the 1.2 back to use as my daily (1.2 has sat in my drive since feb about to go for a mot) and I'm looking to have 2 insured ړײ
