172 Auto adjust Headlight Problem

Hi Guys

Looking for a bit of info i have had my 172 a few months now but lately i have noticed when the engine is on and i am sitting still with or with out the headlights on i can hear what i guess is the auto adjuster on the headlights trying to adjust from time to time is there any way to stop this or is there a fix to stop it

also how do they work are there sensors some where on the car that work out the level

any advice would be great

There's a sensor on the rear axle. I had mine replaced at a specialist. The sensor was about £3!

I'm not sure exactly where it is. To be honest if the level is ok I wouldn't worry. I tried to adjust mine manually and the adjusters popped out and took me ages to fix em! Lol couldn't drive at night for ages....

I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you where the sensor is though!

Mine are adjusting all the time, wether the lights are on or off, also with just the ignition on without engine running. I always thought it was just normal.

Mine is consanly buzzing up and down its annoying. Anyone know exactly where this is located and how easy it is to change?
