172 cup - adjusting the handbrake

My handbrake is very high when it is applied, it really could do with coming down a few inches. How would I go about doing this?

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
could mean you need new rear brake shoes mate. mine come up high and i found after changing my shoes it now come up alot less. i beleive most newer clios have self adjustment on the hand brake so unless ur shoes r completely shagged (like mine were) ur handbrake should auto adjust so it doesnt come up too high

what model clio do you own?

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Check rear pads first...! If ok

Then get it in the air, take off centre heat sheld 4 torx bolts.

You need a long extension and 13mm socket. ( with hand brake off..! )

Adjust. dont go made though.

If happy put heatsheld back on. lower

Job Done.
