172 Cup Air-Con...

Car  Mondial 172Cup (A/C)
hey, now i am approaching my first full summer with my 172 Cup, i have noticed that my air-con isnt actually that cold... anyone else think it may be a problem or is it a usual thing for a 172 cup to have mediocre cooling inside the car?!

ahh... just looked on RS Heritage page... apparently mine is 1 of 106... not bad... would be worth it if it was actually cold tho... the AC in my pug 206cc was better!! :o(

Have you been using it in the winter? Ment to use it for 10 mins every now and again in the winter, stops the seals drying up and leaking the gas.

i always have mine on, even on low power to prevent that... where do i go/what do i do for a system flush? it sounds painful... lol

You have it on all the time? What a waste of fuel!! it's either on or off, no inbetween.

(P.S you do know it's only on when then AC lights on?)

Also just though, they don't have CC do they like the 172s or 182s, Just AC?

Oh ok? They have the little display thing with the temp on?

Edit: Just checked they do, my mistake.

edit:
thats my usual fuel bill and i dont haver mine on. only getting about 27mpg at the moment as apposed 2 the 34ish i usually get

ouch. i use to average 34mpg until i replaced my lambda sensor, i'm currently averaging 40.1mpg over a mixture of B roads and dual carriageways. admit some of it is driving miss daisy, but not averse to a bit of pace either.

yeah exactly the best bit about it is im now only doing a 30mile round trip everyday rather than the 60odd and my fuel bill has gone up and theres only really 1 bit where i can get my foot down as the rest is crappy roads or speed cameras

work have relocated recently and i've gone from a 3 mile round trip (which i didnt drive all the time! only when cold) to a 35 mile round trip. arses. don't have ac or cc in my cup, but i never used it when i did have it as you could feel it sapping the engine power when you switched it on!

yeah iv been thinking about getting the AC delete kit for it but hard decision as its a ICEBERG cup.. may just remove the fuse so even when its cold i carnt turn it on lol

What weirdo would put airconditioning in a cup? Just buy a standard 172?

I got my Iceberg cup from Bedford a couple of months ago :D (my aircon is NOT cold)

i got mine from the north east bk in October and then found out bk in Feb that Jon_r originally owned it

my aircon is just the same as the climate set 2 lowest setting lol
