172 cup alarm beeping!!!!!!!!!

hi just brought a 172 cup and when i lock the doors with the remote button on the key the doors lock as normal but the car just makes a beeping noise that doesnt stop!! my 182 somthimes made this beep but it used to stop within a couple of seconds! any ideas? thankyou

Usually due to something being open still, is the bonnet, boot, other door shut.

thanks for the reply, the button under the bonnet isn't getting pushed down enough. sorted now thanks
